Avery X. ★★★★★

The two-disc 20th anniversary set gives "Ordinary People" so much room to breathe, and the soul and R&B production on here still holds up two decades later. Spinning it the whole way through felt like revisiting an old favorite.

The 20th anniversary pressing sounds so warm, and "Ordinary People" has never hit quite like this on vinyl. Both discs came flat with no warp, and the gatefold looks great on the shelf.

Finally replaced my worn-out copy of this album and the 2-disc setup was worth the wait. Having the bonus tracks spread across a second record means "Ordinary People" gets the room it deserves instead of feeling cramped. The soul and R&B mix holds up beautifully on wax.
